Laura discovered acroyoga, and other aerial sports like pole fitness, aerial silk and hoop, at 30 years of age. With just a basic level of fitness, she committed to practicing every day to improve her strength and flexibility, which completely changed her life. Laura moved from being a graphic designer with no fitness background to becoming a fully qualified Acro Yoga Instructor.
Following her passion, Laura travelled to Acroyoga Conventions all over Europe, training in all styles of Acro, learning from lots of different teachers. Laura got her 200 hours Yoga teacher certificate in 2018 while taking care of her first baby and qualified as an Acroyoga teacher with the prestigious AcroYoga Montréal school.
Acro is Laura’s life love and she spends all of her free time jamming and introducing new students to this beautiful discipline. She finds Acro a wonderful tool for helping people use their body more efficiently, for strengthening, conditioning and toning - all while meeting new friends, building confidence and having lots of fun!
Zsófi is a certified AcroYoga Montréal teacher and a 250 hrs RYT Hatha yoga teacher. She found her passion for acroyoga and partner acrobatics through the Irish Circus Community in 2016. She has teamed up with Laura in 2018 with a vision to grow the acro community in Ireland.
For Zsófi, Acro&Yoga is about connecting with others while finding balance within, and sees yoga as a tool to set the emotional and physical foundations necessary to create unforgettable experiences moving, dancing and connecting with others. Acro&Yoga helps her let go of fear while learning to open up to others, learning how to respect and see the uniqueness in everyone.
Peter discovered acroyoga through his circus arts practice 14 years ago. He has been an enthusiastic base and somewhat less enthusiastic flyer ever since. He believes Acro & Yoga is about community, trust, creativity, and playfulness.
Aniko has been a devoted sport practitioner from a young age, trying herself out in many disciplines from ballet to capoeira.
In 2015, she stumbled upon an Acroyoga class at a yoga studio’s open day and it was love at first sight. Ever since, she has been exploring the intricacies of this sport all around the world from Thailand, to the US and across Europe.
She regularly attends Acro events to learn from internationally recognized teachers, be it at the Dutch Acro Convention, Partner Acrobatics trainings or the Acrogasm series. She is a certified Acroyoga teacher by Yogaslackers.
Aniko enjoyes all three sides of the practice: basing, flying and spotting as well as the occasional therapeutical flying/ Thai massage sessions.
Her practice is built around exploring safe progressions an thoughtful analysis of movements and connection points.
Helena was first introduced to Acro in 2018 and quickly fell in love with its collaborative and sociable nature. She soon took an interest in sharing her knowledge with others and in growing the Dublin Acro community. She started assisting classes with Laura and obtained her teaching certificate with Acro Fusion (Italy) in 2021. Helena now leads many of her own classes. Helena is a big fan of dynamic pops and Icarians but also loves the more "flowy" side of Acro. Her other passions include sea swimming, cycling and the great outdoors!
Ellie is an aAcroyoga International certified instructor. She fell in love with acro from her first class and was welcomed into a beautiful community of acroyogis in Dublin. Ellie is also a holistic therapist and yoga teacher. With her passion for wellbeing she hopes her students find the joy in Acro&Yoga and feel supported within our community.
Acroyoga is an art that connects body, mind, and soul, and Kaarthic believes in its potential. am a consistent practitioner, I can say that channeling positive energy and sharing it with others is a major part of the art form. Once you start practicing acroyoga and develop a passion, you will realize how it fosters connection and trust between individuals with a mere exchange of energy. It brings me immense pleasure to teach beginners and watch them progress. Acroyoga is for everyone, and self-belief is key to success.
